New Business Development Representative

The New Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying qualified prospects and creating business relationships with companies for the product and solutions we offer.  This person will develop and maintain sales within various industries throughout the country and oversee assigned business development tasks. The selected candidate will have a proven track record in the field of new business development, exceptional oral and written communication skills, team leadership capabilities, and must have good interpersonal skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Leading all phases of business development and supporting all aspects of the client experience.
  • Independently developing a sales pipeline.
  • Identify and interface with prospects and customers to evaluate and secure new clients.
  • Communicate effectively with prospects to enable adequate understanding of the company’s products and solutions we can provide.
  • Meet defined sales targets, metrics, and individual goals.
  • Develop sales presentations, proposals, and other materials as needed to support business development efforts.
  • Travel as need be to visit potential clients and attend trade shows, which may include working in the evening and on weekends when travelling.
  • Implementation and adherence to company’s customer relationship management software (CRM).
  • The business development representative must be an enthusiastic, reliable, highly motivated, results-oriented self-starter who is a hands-on team player.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ year of new business development experience, preferably in the sign or construction-related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with HubSpot preferred.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to negotiate.

REQUIRED COMPUTER SKILLS:

Microsoft Office—Excel, Word, PowerPoint
